About Course
This course is designed to provide a complete and practical understanding of Bentley STAAD.Pro, one of the most widely used software tools for structural analysis and design. The course starts with fundamental engineering concepts required before using the software and gradually progresses toward modeling, analysis, and design of real-world structures.
Students will first learn essential theoretical topics such as unit systems, structural behavior, stresses and strains, shear force and bending moment diagrams, types of structures, and an introduction to finite element analysis. These concepts build a strong foundation necessary to correctly understand and use STAAD.Pro.
The course then focuses on hands-on training in STAAD.Pro, covering model creation, material properties, load application, analysis procedures, and interpretation of results. Learners will gain experience in steel, concrete, and foundation design according to relevant design codes.
By the end of this course, students will be able to confidently model, analyze, and design structures using STAAD.Pro, understand analysis results, and apply engineering judgment to real-life structural projects. This course is ideal for civil engineering students, fresh graduates, and practicing engineers who want to enhance their structural design skills using industry-standard software.
